ADVENTUROUS WEDNESDAY!

Every Wednesday at the Mahle House we offer our “Adventurous Wednesday” multi-course menu.

Chef’s Choice; Five Courses - $48 per person

This menu is available by the table for groups of any size (all diners must participate.) Diners in groups of four or fewer will receive different items for each course (some duplication of items will occur with groups larger than four).  We suggest calling for reservations.

Please note that Wednesday evening is devoted exclusively to our five course Chef's menu - our regular menu is not available.

Our Farm

OUR GARDENS

To provide our guests with the freshest organic ingredients, we are fortunate to have our own organic farm raising fruits, vegetables and herbs.  Depending on the time of year, we produce carrots, beans, beets, peas, chive, numerous herbs, kale, chard, microgreens, squash, cucumber, apples, rhubarb, blueberries, radish, tomatoes.  The beginning of each planting season also gets the creative juices flowing with one or two experimental crops.

What we can't grow or if we do not produce enough, we proudly purchase from like-minded local farms.  Many of these farmers can be found Sundays at the Cedar Farmers Market at The Crow & Gate Pub.  We highly recommend Living Soil Farm (Yellow Point), Salt & Harrow Organic Farm (Parksville) and Farmship Grower's Coop (Ladysmith).

OUR HONEY

Our on-site bees help pollinate our trees, vegetables, fruits and flowers.  The hives are owned and placed here courtesy of Fredrich's Honey Farm at 2798 Cedar Road.  When ready for harvest, Fredrich's will extract and produce the honey for us uniquely from these hives.  The honey is then packaged and delivered to the restaurant.

OUR PIGS

Our newest project, raising a few heritage pigs, is possibly our most exciting one to date.  Stay tuned for home-raised and house-made additions to our charcuterie program.

Thursday:  5 PM to 8 PM
Friday:  5 PM to 8:30 PM
Saturday:  5 PM to 8:30 PM
Sunday:  5 PM to 8 PM

Reservations are recommended.
